Driving directions
When visiting us, we advise you not to use a Sat Nav – instead use these directions or open in Google Maps
You can find us using our what3words ///incensed.ringers.goats
If you want to put a post code into your Sat Nav, use NP16 6PW then carry on up the hill for half a mile until you reach us on the left.
Directions from the M4 westbound
Leave the M4 at Junction 21 taking the M48 towards the old Severn Bridge.
Leave the M48 at Junction 2 and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A466 link road to Chepstow.
Go straight on at the next roundabout and continue along the A466.
After about a mile take the first exit off the roundabout onto the B4293, signposted to Itton and Devauden.
Follow the B4293 for about 5 miles; drive through Itton continuing on the B4293. This is a 2-3 mile stretch of country road with forestry on either sides. Once the forestry finishes on your left, you will pass a field. Take a turn left into a lane with a single bus sign reading ‘Nex Common’.
After 100 yards take a left again at the cross roads. Welsh Marches is 200 yards down this lane on the right.
If in doubt call us on 01291 650 761 from Devauden and we will come and find you.
Directions from the M5/M50 southbound
Leave the M5 at junction 7 taking the M50 towards Ross on Wye.
At Ross take the A40 towards Monmouth.
Once in Monmouth follow the dual carriageway until you reach a set of traffic lights that have Monmouth School to the right and the river to the left.
Continue through the lights and within approx 200 metres take the slip road left signposted Trellech and Mitchell Troy (this is immediately before the tunnels).
At the T Junction turn left and continue on this road and over a small bridge. As you start to rise, take the next left B4233 signposted Trellech and Chepstow (there is a small white house right on this junction).
Follow the B4233 for approx 8 miles to Devauden. You will know you are on the right road as after about a mile and a half there is a very tight bend and the road rises sharply.
At Devauden Green take the right hand fork.
You need the 3rd turning right about half a mile after the Green – the first one is immediately off the Green, the second one is signed Kilgwrrwg. A clue to where it is: on passing the Kilgwrrwg turning the hedge is fairly low. Just before our turning it is much higher, almost full trees. Indicate in good time as this is the first bit of straight road after the village and you may find someone trying to overtake as you are turning!
Travel down the hill through a small crossroads and Upper Glyn Farm is the first farm on the right. You’ll see the Welsh Marches sign at the gate.
